Shandong Heavy Industry Group Global Partners Conference and Green & Smart Products Showcase

Shandong Heavy Industry Group brought together nearly 1,600 global partners from 62 countries in Hanoi, Vietnam, for the Global Partners Conference and Green & Smart Products Showcase, themed “Technology Empowers, Equipment Creates Beauty.”

The event brought together industry leaders, partners and representatives from across the global equipment sector to explore new opportunities in green technology, intelligent manufacturing, new energy and global industrial cooperation.

A Global Gathering for Green and Smart Development

The conference was attended by representatives from Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Vietnam–China Chamber of Commerce and Shandong Heavy Industry Group.

Speakers highlighted the growing importance of green transportation, digital transformation, sustainable energy and intelligent equipment in supporting industrial development across Vietnam and the wider ASEAN region.

Shandong Heavy Industry Group Chairman Wang Zhijian emphasized the group’s transition toward a new phase of global development focused on localization, green development and intelligent technologies.

The group is working to move beyond simply exporting products by developing deeper partnerships and building localized industrial ecosystems in international markets.

Creating a New Ecosystem for Green and Intelligent Equipment

During the conference, Shandong Heavy Industry Group and its global partners jointly launched the “Creating a New Ecological Initiative for Green and Intelligent Equipment Industry.”

The initiative focuses on strengthening cooperation throughout the industrial chain, sharing technological capabilities and creating solutions that support sustainable development.

Project signing ceremonies were also held for initiatives involving electric buses, electric heavy-duty trucks, commercial vehicle powertrains, AI-equipped excavators, intelligent agricultural machinery and electric light-duty trucks.

Weichai Power: New Energy and Microgrid Solutions

Weichai Power introduced its microgrid solution for the first time at the event.

The solution integrates multiple technologies, including hybrid energy power stations, mobile photovoltaics, energy storage, integrated charging and energy-storage equipment, and SOFC (Solid Oxide Fuel Cell) generation systems.

The objective is to provide customers with reliable, lower-emission and cost-conscious energy solutions for applications such as data infrastructure, zero-carbon industrial parks and remote mining operations.

Weichai also showcased its mine-application energy solution integrating “source, grid, load, storage and control.”

SINOTRUK: New Energy Commercial Vehicle Ecosystem

SINOTRUK presented its new-energy commercial vehicle strategy and integrated ecological solutions.

Its portfolio covers three major technology routes:

• Pure electric

• Range-extender

• Hydrogen fuel

The solutions cover vehicles ranging from light trucks to heavy-duty trucks and are designed for applications including cross-border transportation, port logistics, mining and construction, and cold-chain transportation.

SINOTRUK is also developing integrated solutions combining vehicles, energy, digital technologies and after-sales services, supporting different charging and battery-swapping requirements.

Shacman: New Energy Heavy-Duty Solutions

Shaanxi Heavy Duty Truck introduced its Shacman E-Series products, covering key new-energy technologies including pure electric, battery swapping and hybrid power.

The products are designed for Southeast Asian operating environments, including:

• Long-distance logistics

• Port transportation

• Construction

• Urban infrastructure

• Concrete mixing

• Mining operations

The E-Series forms part of a broader new-energy product matrix designed to address different heavy-duty transportation requirements.

Zhongtong Bus: M6E Electric Light Van

Zhongtong Bus unveiled the M6E, a European-style wide-body light van targeting the high-end business travel market.

Built on a dedicated light passenger platform, the M6E features Zhongtong’s Galaxy family design language and a reported aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.37.

The vehicle combines a dedicated passenger compartment, high-rigidity safety body structure and NVH noise-reduction technologies to provide a quieter and more comfortable passenger experience.

Shantui: Intelligent and New Energy Construction

Shantui presented intelligent construction solutions together with a comprehensive range of new-energy construction machinery.

Its Smart Driving SSC 2.0 has reached commercial application for high-level unmanned operations.

By combining intelligent machinery and digital technologies, Shantui is developing full-process construction solutions covering activities such as landfilling, grading and compaction.

The company has completed more than 70 intelligent construction projects worldwide and showcased electric and AI-powered equipment including bulldozers, loaders, excavators and road rollers.

REVO: New Energy Construction Machinery

REVO Heavy Industries presented new-energy solutions covering a range of construction and mining applications.

Its product portfolio includes new-energy excavators, loaders and mining machinery, with large-scale production and market deliveries already underway.

REVO has developed three main powertrain routes:

• Pure electric

• Battery-powered solutions

• Range-extender hybrid

The company also supports these products with mobile energy-storage vehicles, battery-swapping vehicles and dedicated charging stations.

Weichai Rayo Smart Agriculture

Weichai Rayo Smart Agriculture introduced three new-energy tractors designed for different agricultural applications.

The range included:

• 25-horsepower pure electric tractor for courtyard gardening

• 50-horsepower electric tractor for dairy farming

• 410-horsepower ECVT hybrid tractor for heavy agricultural operations

The 410-horsepower hybrid tractor is designed for demanding activities such as deep cultivation, soil preparation, sowing and heavy transportation, combining high power with improved fuel efficiency and operational performance.

Smart agricultural technologies, including intelligent driving systems, were also presented.

KION: AI-Powered Smart Warehousing

KION showcased an AI-powered smart warehouse solution based around its MyMA full-stack software platform.

The system supports six-directional shuttle operations and dynamic reconfiguration of storage aisles. According to the company, this can improve space utilization by approximately 30% compared with traditional automated warehousing systems.

AI algorithms continuously analyze business data, inventory layouts, operating paths and equipment resources, enabling warehouses to move toward more adaptive and intelligent decision-making.

Building the Future of Global Equipment

The Hanoi conference demonstrated Shandong Heavy Industry Group’s broad approach to green and intelligent industrial development.

From commercial vehicles and powertrains to construction machinery, agriculture, warehousing and energy systems, the showcased technologies highlighted how different industries are being connected through electrification, artificial intelligence, digitalization and integrated energy solutions.

With global partners from 62 countries participating, the event also demonstrated Shandong Heavy Industry Group’s continued focus on developing international partnerships and localized industrial ecosystems.

The Hanoi showcase was more than a display of individual products — it presented a broader vision of how green technology, intelligent equipment and global cooperation can work together to support the next generation of industry.
